Unforseeable Emergency Withdrawl Rule Change

Unforeseeable Emergency Withdrawal Policy Change

On September 20, 2011 the Ohio Deferred Compensation Board of Trustees revised the policy and guidelines for Unforeseeable Emergency (UE) Withdrawal Requests. In the past, participants and their spouses who applied for a UE request were required to stop deferring into the Program for a one-year period.

Now, you have a choice. If you need to apply for a UE, you can choose to continue your deferrals. Or, you can stop your deferrals for a period of time. If you stop your deferrals, we ask you to tell us the month and year that you would like to start deferring again.
